Black Friday ad prompts for ChatGPT: how to write BFCM ads that sell

Generic prompts give you generic ads. Here's the structure that makes AI write a Black Friday ad that sounds like you, with ten prompts to copy.

By ForgeKits · Updated October 31, 2026 · 3 min read

The formula: one hook type + one format + your product, your buyer and the real deadline. Ask for 5 versions, pick one, then cut it by a third. Write your ads by Nov 20, before Black Friday (Nov 27) when ad costs are highest.

Why most AI Black Friday ads flop

"Write a Black Friday ad for my product" gets the same "Don't miss our biggest sale of the year!" everyone else runs. The model needs three things it can't guess: who's buying, what changes for them and why now is true.

The 5 hook types that work in BFCM week

HookBest forExample opener
CuriosityCold audiences, TikTok"The planner page I wish I'd had last January"
PainProblem-solving products"Still writing captions at 11pm?"
ProofRetargeting, warm audiences"1,200 crafters cut this design last year"
UrgencyBlack Friday to Cyber Monday"20% off ends Monday at midnight"
Before/afterVisual products, templates"Blank feed on Monday. 30 posts by Friday."

10 Black Friday ad prompts to copy

Replace the parts in {braces}. Each works in ChatGPT, Claude or Gemini.

Curiosity

You're a direct-response copywriter. Write 5 Meta ad primary texts (under 125 characters) for {product}, sold to {audience}. Open with a curiosity gap about {surprising detail}. Don't mention the discount until the last line. No emojis, no exclamation marks.
Write a 15-second TikTok script for {product}. Seconds 0–2: a question {audience} would be embarrassed to ask out loud. 3–10: show the answer using {product}. 11–15: "It's 20% off until Cyber Monday." Give 3 versions.

Pain

List the 5 most annoying things {audience} deals with in late November related to {problem}. For the top 2, write a Meta ad that names the pain in the first 6 words and offers {product} as the fix. Plain language, under 90 words.
Write 5 hooks under 10 words for {audience} who have tried {usual fix} and been let down. Then pair each with one line showing how {product} is different.

Proof

Here are 3 customer reviews: {paste}. Turn each into a carousel ad: slide 1 is the review quote, slide 2 is the result, slide 3 is the offer with the Black Friday deadline. Keep each slide under 12 words.
Write a UGC-style script where a {audience} member explains why they bought {product}, in their own words. Include one specific number. 30 seconds, casual, no salesy phrases.

Urgency

Write 3 ad versions for each day: Black Friday (Nov 27), Small Business Saturday (Nov 28) and Cyber Monday (Nov 30). The offer is {offer}, ending {exact deadline and time zone}. Every deadline must be true. Under 100 characters each.
Write a "last chance" Meta ad for {product} for the final 6 hours of Cyber Monday. State what they lose when the sale ends, in money or time. No fake scarcity.

Before/after

Describe the before and after of {audience} using {product} for one week. Write it as a 2-line ad: "Before: … After: …". Give 5 versions, each with a different specific detail.
Write a 3-scene Reel script: scene 1 is the messy before ({specific mess}), scene 2 is {product} in use (3 seconds), scene 3 is the result with "20% off until Monday" on screen. Include on-screen text for each scene.

When should I write my Black Friday ads?

By Nov 20, 2026. Black Friday is Nov 27 and Cyber Monday Nov 30. Ad costs rise sharply that week, so test hooks earlier.
